Student Show 2011

Attention all sketchers, show your best drawings! Enter your work in our Online Student Show, opening in May, 2011. Your drawings will be featured with students from other schools in the Drawing League Gallery.

Criteria: Choose 2 of your favorites, either from your lesson drawings or work you've created during your own time at school. One drawing is to be from observation (drawing things you're looking at) and the second drawing is to be from your imagination. Here are the guidelines:

  • Subject matter must be appropriate and approved by your art teacher
  • You must incorporate skills and techniques that you learned with Rob
  • Media: Pencil, graphite, charcoal (talk with Rob about using colored pencils) on paper (minimum 8.5 x 11")
  • You can draw from observation (people, places, things) or imagination (realism, surrealism, abstract, etc.)
All Draw to Learn students working with Rob are eligible to enter. Rob will help you decide on a direction for your work and help get you started preparing for the show.

Deadlines for submitting your work will be in April, 2011
